Skill-based matchmaking has the gaming community almost split down the middle with high skill players advocating against the system as it forces them into intense, ‘sweaty’ games while those players on the lower end of the bell curve enjoy the system as it means they can play the game without getting repeatedly stomped by pro players. Given that, Destiny 2 players were concerned when they noticed that matchmaking was slower than normal and many of the matches were more competitive (or “sweaty”) than they had been in the past. I go 21-7 with 11 assists and 2700 points, On the Bright side medal, my team loses 10,000 to 6,000 with me scoring almost half of our points. I have no idea why Bungie has made the Crucible only operate on SBMM without any unranked playlists, but doing this has killed all the fun I had in the Crucible.
