Dark Souls 3 is almost single threaded code. Yeah this game isn't fully optimized I use a 4Gb 960 and I5 4460K I still get ridiculous drops especially when looking at irithyll from a distance, looking at the dragons and the area in dragon barracks, overlooking the entire inside of grand archives. You will see at most a 10 to 15% performance increase when switching to Windows 8.1/10 and even then it won't improve for all scenarios/types of work loads.
