Yes it is but dogs are to kept of the beach there is a area for them. There is a dog beach area at the western end of Sandbanks Beach to Haven Point (by the chain ferry). We love this beach at all times of the year. There is a wide selection of activities at Sandbanks Beach including, crazy golf/putting, a beach shop, a range of watersports including windsurfing, sailing and paddle boats. When we went, there was a lot of dog walkers but it was earlier in the year. The sea is so clean and a wonderful place to swim or just have a paddle. This beach is beautiful, we have dogs so you have to go to the beach that’s just to the side of the main beach but it’s still just as good , you can watch the yachts leaving Poole harbour or just relax in the dunes, perfect.
